The deontology of private detectives refers to the strict set of moral, ethical, and legal principles that govern their professional conduct, ensuring a balance between fulfilling client objectives and respecting individual rights and laws.
Our Principles:
- Compliance with the Law: Illegal methods, such as unauthorized wiretapping, harassment, or breaking and entering, are prohibited, and evidence obtained illegally is not admissible in court.
- Confidentiality: Information about clients and investigated subjects may only be disclosed to authorized parties (the client or the court, if legally requested).
- Integrity and Honesty: Falsifying evidence or misleading clients are serious ethical violations.
- Respect for Privacy and Human Rights: Detectives must respect individuals' rights to privacy and dignity, avoiding unnecessary intrusions.
- Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: The detective must remain impartial and objective, avoiding cases where their personal interests or those of other clients could compromise the objectivity of the investigation.
- Professional Competence: Detectives have a duty to constantly maintain and update their skills and knowledge, accepting only cases for which they have the necessary expertise.
- The private detective is obligated to maintain professional secrecy regarding the data and information obtained.
- The data and information obtained may be communicated, upon request, under the law, only to courts and the Public Ministry, if they are useful for uncovering the truth in criminal cases.
- The detective may refuse the case when the client requests activities that violate current legal norms or good morals and will communicate this to the police.
